Yayasan Hayandra Peduli was founded in 2009 in Jakarta, Indonesia, by dr. Ratna H. Purwoko, a dermatologist together with her daughter, dr. Karina F. Moegni, a plastic surgeon. Prior to the establishment, they have been involved in many health social works throughout Indonesia, including works to provide service on general medicine, dermatology, cleft lip & cleft palate surgeries. The two decided to found the foundation because they see a growing number of patients, who are not treated, rejected, or not accommodated due to limited space available.
